Additionally, Hydrogels are suitable for immobilizing the bimolecular because the=y have a bimolecular capacity, this is very fundamental in keeping their shape in the original condition. They can also be vey important in immobilizing optical sensors because they have a very important property. By virtue of their functionality, their biocompatibility makes the ideal candidate of the development of the rational optical sensor. They have a very wide loading capacity that is mainly suitable for sensors. Additional they have a very wide background which is only suitable for optical low optics. They also have another property that makes them very suitable for the development of cornerstones. For example polymers can be mixed to derive a very effective hydrogen cornerstone There have been a lot of res DNA however; one of the mot important a breakthrough in the researches that involves DNA is the use of DNA functionalized Hydrogels to make biosensors. This breakthrough was also fundamental for the development of controlled release system just like in medicine and other stimuli reactive materials. The focus on the main property of Hydrogels such as the ability to swell is very important because in this way. The most important breakthrough has been achieved in the scientific circles. A better example is the focus on gels phase shift. A stimuli responsive smart gels. There has also been the relatively low number of bolometric sensors. Acrydite-modified DNA is easy to link Hydrogels understanding through co-polymerization. Upon the completion of the gel transformation, their general viscosity is transformed as one can

Company law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 2

Company law - Essay Example VTB Capital plc is an England integrated and regulated bank, although it is majority owned by the Russian government bank. VTB got into a contract loan accord with RAP; a Russian company, where VTB loaned $ 225 million to enable RAP purchase several Russian dairy entities from Nutritek. 1 RAP failed to pay on the loan, prompting VTB to bring a court action alleging that it had been fraudulently induced to come into a credit contract by Nutritek. VTB claimed that Nutritek and RAP presented themselves as if they were not under common control while indeed they were. Moreover, both companies represented the price of the dairy companies at a higher value that their real value. VTB claimed that these representations were false since the RAP and Nutritek were owned by a Russian businessman Malofeev. VTB claimed that Nutritek was liable as VTB relied on false information offered by Nutritek to enter into a contract with RAP. The two principle issues that have legal implications were: 1. Juri sdiction issue on whether VTB ought to be given authorization to supply actions out of the court’s authority. VTB held that the conditions in which deception involving foreign parties, but concerning to frauds apparently perpetrated in England ought to be heard by the English bench. 2. Piercing the corporate veil where VTB wanted to treat Malofeev as a contracting party to the loan agreement. This meant that Malofeev would be jointly and severally accountable with RAP. Appropriate forum One of the outstanding legal implications in VTB v. Nutritek & Others [2012] case is that; the Supreme Court has established a precedent that decisions on the forum will hardly be re-opened for appeal. This resulted from the strong words of the Supreme Court’s president lord Neuberger on claim parties having to set up mini trials on preliminary issues like jurisdiction. Lord Neuberger asserted that it is purely inconsistent for parties to bring high costs upon themselves, and use up cou ntless days in court on a jurisdiction hearing. His counsel to appellate courts to be vigilant in disheartening appellants from arguing the advantages of evaluative interlocutory verdict made by a judge reinforces this fact.2 Lord Neuberger held that such re-openings would be allowed when a judge has made a noteworthy principle error only. The court of appeal refused VTB authorization to serve its claim out of the jurisdiction, noting that the law governing the supposedly tort claims was the Russian law. The Supreme Court upheld jurisdiction decision by referring to the case of Spiliada Maritime Corpn v Cansulex Ltd  ([1987] AC 460)3. The Spiliada case set that the burden of proof is left on the claimant. Therefore, VTB had to establish that the English courts were indeed the right forum for the action trial. VTB claimed that there was a strong presumption in favor of English jurisdiction because the action of tort happened in England, referring to Berezovsky v Michaels (2000)   case and the Albaforth (1984).4 The Supreme Court ruled against VTB holding that VTB was using an unhelpful approach by referring to â€Å"presumption† as this was setting the bar too high. The court held that it has to consider all factors as set by the common rule standard on jurisdiction as set in the Spiliada  case. The ruling has the legal implication of giving clarity on the relationship involving the Albaforth and the Spiliada

Maslows Hierarchy of Needs Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Maslows Hierarchy of Needs - Assignment Example Shank’s old boss failed to meet the safety need as they were told that â€Å"you are just another number†¦Ã¢â‚¬ There was no love or belongingness and the question of self-esteem and self-actualization does not arise in these circumstances. The needs could not be met because the boss did not value his employees, did not recognize their efforts and contribution to the company. The self-esteem of the employees in the process was at its lowest. Low self-esteem can inhibit creativity, interpersonal relations, hinder performance and conflict resolution. Focusing on employee needs is essential to motivate and sustain the motivation of the employees. Maslow clarifies that satisfied needs are not motivators. When the higher order needs take over they serve as the motivating force. Thus, an organization can meet the missing needs in several ways. People need to feel connected with the top management and not feel alienated. Thus regular interactions between the management and the employees make them feel valued. A few words of recognition publicly reinforce the self-esteem of an individual and this can be a great motivator. The employees should feel that they can approach the management freely. Interest in the work or the store by the management is a great motivator for the employees because when they experience the excitement of the owners they too feel involved in their work. To err is human and employers should recognize this fact. Errors should be tolerated and as in the case of Southwest Airlines, errors should be considered a learning experience. A controlled approach can inhibit growth as it reduces initiatives. Hence an employee should be allowed to develop feelings of self-worth which provides intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is better than extrinsic motivation. When a person is aroused through a desire from within, the results are better.

See atachment Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words

See atachment - Essay Example For this purpose, the architectural firm and engineering firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP was hired. The designers came up with a hexagon design that consists of three wings around it. The rise of the tower enables each wing to spiral upwards. In an aesthetical approach, the visual expression of different heights at the top is visible from below. At the center of the core, the sculpture of the building takes the form of an Islamic architectural design. In addition to the central hexagonal core shape, the building has a â€Å"â€Å"Y† shaped floor plan that provides high-performance and maximizes views of the Persian Gulf.† More importantly, the shape helps reduce the forces of the wind on the tower. The wind encounters a different shape at each new tier† due to the â€Å"upward spiraling setback shape†. Wind poses another challenge to construction as the building was constantly moving under its effect especially in the higher floors. To cub this chall enge, the team utilized GPS survey technology. This ensured that the tower is built adhering to strict tolerance. Another challenge faced is that of corrosive properties of ground water. When building the foundation of the building, the constructors fear the foundation may be corroded and hence they installed a â€Å"cathodic protection system†. Heat was yet another challenge faced in the building’s construction. Heat posed a challenge in two ways. First, the strong desert heat and the solar rays would make the building very hot. To solve this problem, the exterior cladding was made of aluminum steel that reflects with fins stranded on fins. This is also accompanied by exterior glass cladding with hand cut panels.
